Cut the risk of Cataract

One of the most striking features of the medical literature on free radicals and antioxidants is the ever-increasing number of medical conditions that are being shown to be affected. So far, the visual system has received comparatively little attention, but interest is growing and it seems probable that, before long, many eye disorders will be seen to be mediated by free radical damage. One major eye disorder which affects millions of people and causes great distress has, however, prompted a number of very interesting and productive research projects. That condition is cataract.
